OoC: February 13th, 1622. Morning.
Ic: Crash was known to be the type to put things in his own hands. After all, since the attack on Seria, all trade between them and Truesdale was mostly cut out, and Dula was being unusually quiet about it, trading between both countries. Truesdale was in big trouble and now food was getting expensive and the apothecaries were running low, especially since Thompson and O'Reilly's company were under scrutiny from Dula. That also added on the fact that Crash found out he was an O'Reilly, and his mother worked for Swire Inc. in Dula.
No, that would be a mission for another day. For now? It was a trip to Seria under the guise of a Dulan. Mostly. Crash could excuse himself since he was Dula. The man wore over his white shirt, a nice black suit and slacks as well as nice shoes. It was so unusual for the guy to be wearing this that he was probably unrecognizable to the others.
"Hey hey! Don't give me scrutiny! It's cause I'm a redhead, huh? I'm an O'Reilly, damnit!" He folded his arms, adjusting the large duffel bag in his grip which was unusually light. Yeah he was arguing with the captain of this particular public transport ship.

Anita was, essentially, out of a job at the moment - with the lack of people buying shoes, now that everyone was more focused on getting as much food as they could while they still had the money and the stocks, she had much more free time as she normally did.
This had resulted in her agreeing to accompany Crash all the way to Seria, to see whether they could do anything about it. Anita set her bag down, filled with whatever she would need, and sighed quietly as Crash and the captain argued, but didn't say anything. Most people would not appreciate an Easterner and a female butting their head into what seemed to be a man's business, and she did want to accompany Crash.

Crash was out of a job himself, since there wasn't much else for him to do, and Anita was happy to assist him, which he appreciated. Meredith thought Crash was insane doing this and refused to join him, which was fine by him. Either way, Meredith had not known that he was bringing a teenaged girl with him, but the girl probably would know how to take care of this weird redhead.
Eventually they were let into the airship, where Crash finally managed to get a seat with his friend, putting the duffel bag and hers up in the compartments, flopping down on a seat and leaning back. he glanced around the place, noting how few people were on the airship and wondered if they were all Serians leaving Truesdale. Who knew?
"Not first class, but it's still okay." He glared at the first person who looked at Anita funny. Seriously, he would not put up with people being rude to her.

Besides, somebody had to keep Crash in line. Who knew what sort of mischief that he would get into in another country during all of this without somebody to keep him in line? Besides, Crash had mentioned something about friends in Seria, so they all should be okay, then.
Finally, once they had found their seats, she helped him place the bags in the compartments, and sat down, adjusting her winter clothing.
"It'll do," She replied, ignoring any looks that were sent her way. Eh, she was used to it by now. "It could have been much worse." The young girl gave a discreet glance around the area. "I'm not surprised that there aren't many people here..."

Crash pulled his hair back, listening to the sound of the airship lifting off and finally leaving. He glanced out the window to see the docks of Truesdale getting smaller and smaller as they climbed up in altitude. He then looked back at Anita when she spoke up and Crash nodded. He did have friends in Seria and maybe they would be happy to let him have some things to give to people here in Truesdale. After all, much like Andy, Crash suspected Dula was also partially responsible, if not a Truesdale underground operation.
"That's true." He paused when Anita spoke up again and Crash shook his head. "No. After what happened, I'm surprised that there's still transport coming between the countries..." He murmured.

Anita had placed her hair in a bun while traveling, not wanting the hair to get caught in anything or have someone yank on it by mistake. She glanced out as the airship finally took up, watching idly as the docks grew smaller before turning back to Crash. Hopefully, this trip would be worthwhile - and two people could bring back more than one person if need be.
She had little idea about what was going on, though she was quite sure that Truesdale hadn't been the one to do it. At least, not the crown at least.
"I am too. I thought it would be harder to get there than I thought... I suppose they're giving people one last chance to leave if they wanted to..." She trailed off, shaking her head.

Crash had in his duffel bag his boots, extra pants and his awesome aviator's jacket. Plus he managed to sneak in some explosives and a crossbow... for whatever reason. It's Crash, let's not worry about what he does for a living. Either way, Crash wanted to be a helpful little bug so he was going to be one. He'd glance out at the sea that was swishing back and forth below them as they headed towards the docks of Seria, which shouldn't last that long at all.
"Probably. Good thing I was a Dulan." Crash sighed, though Dulans weren't too welcome, at least it was better than being from Truesdale and traveling to Seria. Though... neither of them knew that they were being followed, and that followig them were a punch of people who wanted to take things and bring them home just like Crash...
There was some rumbling as they hit turbulence in the skies, and Crash just giggled at the fun he was having.
"I haven't ridden on an airship in aaages."

Anita didn't have much in the ways of weapons, just carrying what a domestic female that was traveling would be normally carry... as well as a nice, cast-iron frying pan. Never leave home without it! Never having been on an airship before, Anita found herself looking out the window in fascination.
"Mmhm." Anita was not perturbed at all that Crash was Dulan. Judge the man and not the country each time one met another. "And I look Eastern enough that no one thinks I have anything else in me." What was her other part, anyways?
She settled back. "I haven't been on one before. I've never been out of Truesdale - never had the opportunity to do something like this before."

That frying pan was probably fatal for anybody either way. Crash leaned back, stretched and yawned, rather happy to actually go out and travel and do things. After all his dad did, Andy was traveling a lot... Who knew? Maybe he could see Andy! Crash also looked out, but then in the corner of his eye he saw a ship. The manchild pressed his nose against the window, prompting one of the stewards to tell him to knock it off cause it smudges the glass.
"H-hey." He spoke up, completely ignoring the conversation at hand. "We might be in for a more exciting ride. 'Cause we got a ship heading straight our way and I think the captain should be warned." Of course nobody listened to him except probably Anita. "Well it's getting bigger. Seriously, sometimes I say smart things. And right now is one of those smart things I say."
Crash wondered if this was a pirate ship. Certainly not Andromeda's. Probably just thugs out in the sea. Andy wasn't the only thug out there, after all.

That frying pan was her insurance against creepers. Besides, she had a wicked aim with it, that she usually didn't get to show off in front of other people. Anita frowned as Crash mentioned that there was another ship approaching them, and peered out the window as well. Sure enough, there was another ship.
"More travelers? A private ship? Or pirates?" Oh, she hoped it wasn't the last one. That would make their journey all the more dangerous... "Either way, the captain should be warned."

Crash glanced over to the woman who went back to alert the captain about a ship heading towards then. He would sit back and glance at Anita, hoping that it wasn't it, but either way, the markings on the ship didn't let him know what county it belonged to. Whatever it was, Crash didn't like it. He took a deep breath and glanced over to Anita, wondering if there were guards or fighters on the ship.
"..." He looked out the window "They're approaching. Fast." It was ominous as the ship grew bigger before they loomed over the smaller travel airship. Crash's expression grew serious before he stood up and grabbed his bag, shuffling through it. "Gonna need SOME defense. Allons-y!"

At least someone was going to warn the captain about the approaching ship, if the man hadn't noticed already. Anita chewed on her lip as she glanced out the window in a somewhat worried manner. She had no idea who it belonged to, whether they were friendly or not.
"...Pirates." She stood up as well, fishing through her bag and getting out her cast iron frying pan. As tiny as she might be, she could easily heft that thing. "What does 'allons-y' mean?" RPer giggles meanwhile.

Crash was silent as he put together the crossbow, glad that he brought it along just in the case. Some other people nearby had also gotten their weapons ready you know, back when you needed weapons on a public transportation system due to hijackers. He then lifted his head when he heard some loud sounds and then banging around. There was some kind of argument but Crash could barely understand them.
"Oh, Allons-y. Means "lets go' in another language!" He grinned at Anita. Crash aimed at one of the entrances as a sweaty bearded stereotypical pirate man came through. He fired the crossbow at him and then reloaded.
"Here they come!" As more pirates appeared and pulled out their swords to the passengers. Some had guns too but a few passengers did too. They were evenly matched!

It was mostly the men that had the weapons, of course, though Anita probably wasn't the only woman that was willing to use any means necessary to defend herself from a group of pirates. I know right? She narrowed her eyes behind her glasses as loud noises were heard.
Nodding in acknowledgement at that statement, she gave Crash a nervous grin back and held that cast iron pan carefully. As the pirates came in, Anita carefully made sure that she didn't leave her back vulnerable, but didn't trap herself in a corner either. Those pirates were quite large, and quite sweaty, but...
The girl gave a grim smile as a pirate laughed at her before she swung the frying pan at his head, knocking him out. "Don't laugh at me."

Crash was loading another arrow onto his crossbow before he whipped around to fire one at that same fat and sweaty man. He didn't seem to be able to go down so Crash just jumped and went to pull off a high kick to knock the man out as well. Considering both Crash and Anita were both tiny and looked like a couple of kids fighting off pirates, it was amusing to the people onboard. Not to the pirates though, especially the one who just lost a few teeth being smacked in the face by Anita's cast iron frying pan.
"Jimminy Cricket, I have got to invest in one of those!" Crash spoke up, looking at the knocked out man. He loaded another arrow in the crossbow and shot at another pirate who was harassing a lady. "It's going to smell like a dirty gym locker by the time we're done here."
The pirates realized these people had more spice than usual and despite the hail of gunfire and swords, the passengers were doing well enough defending themselves. That is until a really fat and sweaty pirate came in, with a peg leg and his left hand was replace with a hook. He wore a tricorn hat and a typical sailor's uniform. Oh, and his right hand had brass knuckles on them.
"Alright, ladies and gentleman. I understand that we're at a bit of an even ground here, but that ends now. Your tirades are over. You all shall be relinquishing your goods to me."
"What." Crash just spoke with a deadpan voice. This pirate had an... oddly strange posh voice for his look.
