Location: Truesdale Docks
September 12th 1622 6:52 PM
Thorn was just silently sitting on the dock alone trying to think to him self, where had summer gone? It was there and gone just like that.... Means he'd have to start looking for a university in Seria like he told Saul.
All this frustration building up in him being he had just...Made something of friends here even if they where strange, he stood up making sure he was alone or at lest think he was alone and let out a frustrated yell out at the water, fallowed by a curse filled rant to himself.
After at lest 5 minutes he sat back down quietly on the dock letting out a shaky sigh. Just was was he to do...? He had dug himself his own six foot deep grave.

Sarina never really wandered to the docks that much. The sea was something that she never really liked due to past experiences, especially after that incident where the naval ship she was on wrecked. She found herself called to it though, as some kind of morbid thing for her to look at the ocean and the sunset.
Probably because the more she looked at the waters, the more she felt numbed from the whole thing. It was pretty crazy, but still. Sarina ran, jumping over some wooden boxes and then balancing precariously over the edge, watching the people walk back and forth.
A yell came to her ears and she looked up, running towards it but she had stopped when she saw it was Thorn. What was he doing here? What was he ranting about? She'd press herself against one of the walls to hide herself.
She'd finally walk carefully over, looking down at the guy.
"... Thorn? What's going on?"

Thorn was startled when he heard Sarina's voice, it had made him jump up and turn around quickly, almost making him fall off the dock. "Sarina...I didn't know you where here." He spoke quickly as he looked rather awkward as he tried to collect him self to make it look as if nothing had happened.
"Nothing, nothing is going on..." Thorn was not particularity good at lying and after a few moments let out a sigh. "You heard that didn't you...?" he finely spoke loosing poster looking up with a slight frustrated look.

As much as Sarina didn't like the ocean due to her allergies, she could still be around it. Either way, the young female kneeled next to Thorn and looked into the water as he spoke up. She then glanced back over to him and then gave him a reassuring smile.
"Sorry if I startled you. I didn't mean to." She paused when he said nothing was going on, but the expression on her face would tell him that she wasn't convinced, and as soon as he asked that, she nodded. Sarina slowly sat down, letting her feet dangle over the docks.
"... You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to."

"It's fine..I think it would be better then screaming at water heh.." he chuckled weakly as he looked back out to the water. He hugged his knees as he looked out with a huff, and mumbled slightly. "....Saul want me to start looking for a university to go to in Seria I think it was ...? I don't remember, but ether way I am not to fond of the idea."
He knew Saul just wanted the best for him but sometimes he felt Saul was being over barring, He him self wasn't sure if he was ready to step back onto a Air ship after what happen. "I don't mean to sound like I am complaining but.." he sighed letting his hat fall to the dock wood as he laid his head against his knees.

Sarina looked down at the water when he spoke up. Yeah that was true, and venting to someone always helped. She pulled her hair back and then glanced over to him when he spoke up. So he wants him to go to Seria? What about the places in Truesdale?
"You mean like moving to Seria? How will you two be able to pay for all of that? I mean that's why I went to school here in Truesdale." She paused. Sarina leaned back. She could see why he wouldn't want to move.
"I wouldn't know. I've traveled a lot in my life."

"Something like that, I would be there for a number of years." He glanced at her as he spoke. He thought a bit, really wondering if it was okay to... "He just wants to be sure I don't end up in a bad situation I suppose after all, he did end up having to grow up much faster then I had to because of the situation we ended up in..." he let out a sigh, he felt like he was something of a problem to his brother when he thought about that, He then tried to get off of the thought.
"did you like traveling?" he asked finely fully looking to her. "Was it on a airship...? More then a bit worried about stepping back onto one those." he added with a nod.

Sarina nodded when he spoke up. Okay so he'd be there awhile, in a strange country. She knew that feeling, after all. Traveling was pretty tough for her and even when she was in one place she wasn't there long.
"Really? I mean... I should know that feeling. I grew up poor, after all." She spoke up, looking in the distance. "Had to do everything by myself."
"I traveled by everything. Airship, train, on foot." She explained. "I joined the military, anyway. It's really tough."

Thorn nodded listing, huh, she was alone as well growing up. "..We lost our parents in a air-pirate attack." he replied softly as he looked out at the water, remembering bits and peaces of that day.
He smiled a little hearing how she thought it was tough. "You seem more then capable of handling those men there from what I've experienced." he chuckled with a smile, he let out a sigh seemingly have calmed down. "Still..Really don't fancy the idea of leaving and I am unsure if it's out of fear, stubbornness, or what."

Sarina's expression softened when he spoke up, and she went to pat him on the back. Poor guy. She'd take a deep breath, unsure of what to say on the whole thing. I mean it is parents, and Sarina still had hers. She'd glance back.
"I'm... sorry about that." She replied, just as quiet. She'd smile when he spoke up, a bit flattered. yeah she was a military girl and knew what to do, even if she had injuries over it.
"Well, most of the time." She'd look at him again when he explained how he felt, and she took a moment to think. She always jumped at the chance for education, but she and Thorn were on complete opposite ends of the spectrum.
"Well, I'm Eastern, so I always jumped at the chance for education. Even if I've always met trouble."

Thorn nodded a bit with a soft look on this face towards her. "Thank you."
He perked a bit when she spoke about that, he had forgotten that Easterners where discriminated against, and not everyone was as accepting as he was, somewhat saddened him he was complaining when there where more people put there had it much harder then he did. "Ah, I do apologize..I often forget the whole people discriminating against easterners thing, that they don't see you as I do."

Indeed, Sarina's life had been pretty hard and even now she had trouble dealign with all of it. She didn't want to add to any of that though, just thinking about how she had been teased, insulted, given bad grades, and worse in the military. At least she had her decency intact unlike the other Easterners.
"I wish there were more people like you, Thorn. Maybe my life would be a bit more peachy." She sighed, but then looked back at him. "So what do we do now? I mean, I'm not sure what to do..."

Thorn nodded looking to her slightly. "I can agree there..I really don't see much difference in us other then color...But what does Color really have to do with anything?" he asked almost as if he was wondering to himself, he shook it off and kept the rest of his thoughts to himself and huffed looking back to the water.
"Don't know really..I suppose hope Saul doesn't fine someone that can steer a airship anytime soon."

That was probably the nicest thing she'd heard someone say to her, and with that her smile was wide and very earnest. There were no words she could say about that and she took a deep breath, relishing that brief moment of happiness and peace before reality kicked in.
"Unfortunately, that's a lot of pilots. Though with the rise of pirates these days, I wouldn't be surprised. There's some really dangerous ones lurking about." She commented. Of course she didn't keep up with the news, so she wasn't familiar with Rosa, or Andy, or Blackbeard the Terrible.
"... Never liked the ocean though. Probably because I'm allergic to shellfish."

Thorn really didn't understand racism, it was something his brain he couldn't figure out. "I am just glad he hasn't found one." he huffed with a smile. Oh the thought of pirates, only one came to his mind when those words where muttered, he shivered slightly at the thought. "I know that all to well." he replied.
"Allergic to shellfish?..Huh, that does make sense " he nodded, he didn't like garlic, so he could understand something like that.
