Cepheid looked back at Nerys as she turned to look at him; he wondered what she planned on doing. Was she thinking of a plan, or was she finally realizing that they were seriously outgunned?
He felt her grab his hand in the darkness, and he couldn't hide the look of surprise that flashed across his face. It was gone quickly though, replaced with curiosity at what she had to say.
Not saying anything, Cepheid just nodded to her and, leading the way, returned to their window of entrance and, if Nerys was with him, let her down and out first, hopping down right after her.
This was only if they weren't detected, though.
If they made it outside and got safely out of earshot, the brown haired man would turn to look at his companion. "There's no shame, Nerys." He said simply. "I'm glad you chose to leave." He then smiled at her warmly, hopefully cheering her up some.

Nerys would follow Cepheid out of the place, swinging her legs over the crate and then dropping down next to him as he led her to a much safer distance, again they had managed to go unnoticed, but not for long, as one of the guards noticed that the window had been messed with and alerted the others. Nerys held her breath as they slipped away from the place, struggling to cope with her emotions.
"Oy, I see footprints! Where do they-" The voice got quieter as they went away. By the time they tried to track them, they'd be gone, she hoped.
Once they headed to a much safer location, she barely heard Cepheid spin around to tell her that. She just stared blankly at him, her heart pounding as she tried to rest herself, except... she just couldn't. She'd gone there with the intention to kill her father... and left with no blood on the knife.
"Oh god, why me?" She cried, collapsing to her knees and hanging her head. "He ruined my life! After Mother died when I was born, he had no interest! It was all Sine's work, she said; she had to take me in so he didn't have to sell me to the company, and he tried to kill me! I WAS ONLY FIVE! I could have ended up like..." Nerys found herself pouring her heart out to someone she hadn't even known for a few weeks. It felt...
... Good.
Nerys couldn't stop the tears pouring down from her eyes. It was all too much. Finally, after years of bottled up emotions involving her father... this happens.
"I could have ended up like your brother if Sine didn't take me... Hell I don't even know what's right or wrong anymore!" She hugged herself, trying to find comfort, but she... no there wasn't much else for her to comfort.

When he heard that some of the guards had noticed their presence, Cepheid grabbed Nerys around the waist and pushed the two of them into a dark corner, using his body as a shield to keep her from sight and potential harm.
Once the guards departed, he took a few steps back and led her a little farther away to a safer location, stopping briefly to grab his stashed costume pieces, but not putting them on. He instead flipped his cape so the inside was out and used it as a kind of bag to safely transport the other pieces inconspicuously.
Completely caught off guard, Cepheid reflexively moved to catch Nerys, but could only aid in lowering her gently to the ground as she cried out. It came as a slight shock that she had a history not unlike his own. Narrowly avoiding being part of the Swire regimen of kidnapped children.
At first, Cepheid was completely unaware of what to do with a crying female. Taking the role of The Star Man and doing what he would sounded fake and impersonal. After a very stunned moments of male based panic, he reacted on instinct, reaching into his pocket and withdrawing a kerchief. Taking the girl's tear stained face gently in one hand, he gingerly wiped at her eyes with the cloth, smiling reassuringly. "You did the right thing." He said softly. "No matter what happens, take solace in the fact that you are better than him. You didn't sink to his level, no matter how much you wanted to." After catching the last of her tears with the dark cloth, he'd gently take her shoulder and pull her close, wrapping her in a hug.

Nerys was grabbed, and she would have squeaked, but she forced herself to hold her breath as the guards went past. Oh man, they were all alerted and going everywhere! She would have to sneak out even more quietly. Ugh... this is annoying. How many guards did he have? Six? That's how many she counted.
"........" Nerys was silent even as she broke down in front of Cepheid. There was one thing she did appreciate, was that he didn't take up his other personality. She looekd at him when he took out the kerchief and wiped her eyes. "I... I just... wish..." She couldn't even say anything as he embraced her.
Nerys welcomed it. It was something she needed for years now. She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged back, tightly, almost forgetting about her surroundings there.
Nerys gasped when she heard some yelling. Someone was coming up?! How did they get here so fast?! Nerys stared at Cepheid in shock before taking his hand, but then around the corner there was one of the guards, who took aim. Nerys had to think fast.
She raised her arms and then spoke up.
"Don't shoot. My name is Nerys Henye." That worked! The guard lowered his gun at the mention of the same last name as Vladimir.
"Well I'll be damned, it is the pipsqueak that Vlad had." He went to aim again. "You were sneak'n about, I see. Trying to find your daddy, huh?"

He continued to hold her securely as she clung back to him. After a while, he was about to suggest that they get back to the Star Crash. If they returned soon enough, And never had to know that Nerys completely blew him off.
He was going to, but shouts nearby made that thought transform into 'get the hell out of there'. Nerys seemed to have the same idea, as she grabbed his hand and he ran with her as they took off from where they were.
Oh hell. Stopping short with his female companion, Ceph assessed the situation. One man, armed with a gun aiming at Nerys. If he could do something to draw fire away from her, maybe they could escape. Before he could put a plan into action, however, Nerys spoke up, and while her words kept the guard from firing, he really wished she had kept quiet. All they had to do was play innocent, maybe hand over their wallets, and get out of there. Now that she announced her identity....
Well, her father tried to kill her once before... Glancing around, Ceph saw that there was an old iron pipe, about the same length as his telescope, right within arm's reach... If he could grab it, he could defend the two of them to some degree. He just needed an opening...

Nerys didn't even realize that he had a plan already, either way, they were both caught, and they had to do something about it. She looked at Ceph who was looking at an iron pipe. Okay, time to bring out the tricks. She then looked over to the man.
"So how much money will it take for you to point that gun away from us?" Trick 1: Bribe. The man seemed interested, but then he frowned and spoke up, getting closer to them as some guards started to come.
"None. Ya cost a pretty penny for Vladimir, anyway. He'd love to see his girl again." Well that failed. She frowned and then scoped the place for an exit. Seems to be one nearby. Maybe if Ceph got that pipe, he could do something.
"Well, you leave me no choice..." Trick 2: Nerys sighed as the man came close. Finally when he was at a good distance, she grabbed the man's arm as it flailed wildly, fired off in a random direction, and Nerys just kicked the guy in the crotch, watching as he doubled over. She then grabbed Cepheid and pushed him into the bushes so they could hide out. "That was the dumbest thing I've ever done." Nerys muttered.

Cepheid kept the pipe in the corner of his eyes, disguising his moving closer to it as nervous shuffling. Thankfully, the darkness concealed his face, so at the precise moment, whoever that guard was wouldn't mistake him for his brother.
It seemed that a bribe attempt was going to work, but then the guard decided against it. Completely unsure what Nerys was planning, he he simply acted on reflex. As soon as he saw her grab the guard and move to wrench his arm, he dove for the pipe and seized it in his right hand.
Before he could move any farther, however, he heard the gunshot and then a searing pain shot through his left shoulder, completely deadening the arm. Clenching his teeth to avoid crying out in pain, he whirled around and, using his momentum of movement and pulling from Nerys, dropped the iron pipe right on the guard's head with a crack. Unsure if the blow killed the man or not, he was tossed into the bushes and let out a gasp of pain, blood sprouting freely from his shoulder where he was shot.
Give the guy credit, he wasn't crying out, though his eyes were wrenched shut in the effort.

Nerys kneeled in the darkness, before realizing that Cepheid, in the chaos of the fight there, had taken that bullet. A feeling of horror and dread filled her mind, and she suddenly got a lust for blood held back a cry. Doing what she thought would be the best, she would do quick medical work, and tear a piece of her dress off to tie Cephe's shoulder with.
That would reduce bleeding and soak up whatever blood happened to fall. She then wrapped his arms around him. She couldn't say anything as two guards went to check the guy.
"He's been hit. Someone's out there."
"Look there's blood!" One of the men seemed to reach into the bushes to try and grab whatever might be in there, like a hiding person. Unfortunately, they managed to grab Nerys. She squeaked and was forced to let go of him. If anything, he could try and go to Andy before it was too late, or do something stupid and heroic.
"Let me go! I swear...!" ....

The shock of the injury had completely scattered Cepheid's senses and made making any noise a right chore. He let out a faint gasp of pain as he felt pressure applied to his wound as Nerys treated it with a strip of her dress.
Sounds blended together, though he felt the slight weight and the warm body heat of Nerys as she wrapped her arms around him. He started to come too slightly when he suddenly realized that Nerys hadn't gotten up to do something, and had been in fact grabbed by one of the guards.
He wanted to spring up and bash those men upside the head with his pipe, but the loss of blood, paired with the pain of the injury made it impossible for him to even move. He absolutely hated the prospect of letting her go with those men, but maybe...
Maybe if he was fast enough, he could drag his wounded arse to Andromeda, who could do something.
Giving Nerys a mental apology for not acting right away, he waited until he was 100% sure no guards remained, dragged himself from the bush and, after grabbing his cape\bag and jamming it under his arm, began the slow and painful track back to the Star Crash.

Andromeda was pretty happy snoozing on his bed. Finally! Peace and quiet, even though Nerys... ugh, he had no idea what to do with that woman sometimes. She was a pain in the butt. He still loved her though, like she was his little sister. Either way, Andromeda was in bed, sawing logs in his sleep... in the nude.
He's probably not the only person to do that. Either way, his dreams at some point usually end in strange notes or even nightmares, depending on his his day went, and right now, he was in weird dream mode.
Something about sealions and using them to unlock a portal to the Edge of the World.

Every step he took seemed to only take him a few miniscule inches forward in his rush, but he eventually managed to make his way back to the star crash. Dropping the pipe, he took his cape\bag in his good arm and, with a lucky throw, managed to toss the parcel up and onto the deck of the ship, freeing his hands for the one armed climb up the ladder.
Bleeding heavily, and his vision blurring, he really wasn't sure how he managed to get up onto the ship or into the cabin, but the next thing he knew, he was banging loudly on his twin's door, his left arm hanging limply and blood covered at his side.
"ANDROMEDA!" He managed to call out, finally managing to get his voice to work.

Andromeda was in a lull by the time Cepheid had gotten up, and in his stupor, he suggested to himself he should probably get his ass off and actually investigate. Might be pirates. that is, until he heard the pained call of his brother and his head shot up. He then tore off the covers and ran out the door, that is before he skidded to a stop, realizing he was naked.
he then turned around and ran into the bedroom, nearly bowling over a woozy Selena, who also heard the noise. It then hit the woman Andy was naked.
"... Put some clothes on!" She hissed at him, before hopping up to the deck.
"I know I am!" Andy hissed back, opening the cupboard to get something. He heard a cry of shock from Selena halfway when he was halfway putting his pants on, stared at them.
"... Good enough." He buttoned them up and then hopped up...
Only to find Cepheid there. Bleeding. Selena looked like she was about to puke.
"... What the hell just happened?! Andy looked PISSED.

After knocking on the door, he heard the scuffles and yelling beyond it. Satisfied that he was detected, he leaned against the wall on his good side for support, waiting for Andy to open the door.
He looked to Selena as she showed up and gasped, looking like she was about to be sick, and tried to smile reassuringly at her; it didn't work out though, he didn't have much energy.
Finally, his half dressed twin surfaced and looked ready to kill someone.
"Nerys." He said. "She went after her father, I tried to stop her, but we were spotted." He took a shuddering breath. "I'm so sorry, I was shot in the scuffle and they got her. I know where she is. If we hurry, we may get her in time."
Losing power in his legs, he sank where he stood, using the wall as a guide. He needed the bullet wrenched out and the hole properly bandaged. And maybe a large glass of fruit juice.
"Just...give me a moment. I'll go with you and show you where she is. I kind of have to, unless you want your RPer to be playing with herself. That is, unless we validate it by having Selena play nurse while you go and rape things."

Selena would run over to grab some items needed to fix up Cepheid's shoulder, including a rag. She then would sit next to him. Daniela taught her about this, especially since the last time Andy got shot they had to get rid of the bullet. Hopefully the wound will cauterize on it's own and they don't have to use a hot plate to do that.
She offered the rag for Cepheid to bite down before she would carefully fish the bullet out. Thankfully it wasn't too deep, or else they'd be concerned. After that she would properly dress the wound.
Andromeda kneeled next to Cepheid, his expression dangerously calm as the man explained what was going on. He then slowly stood up and looked over the docks.
"Yes. Give me a moment." He ran downstairs to properly get dressed as Selena went to wash up Cepheid's wound and then herself. As she ran into Andromeda, he shoved her twin pistols in her hands.
"You and I are going on a mission." He spoke, his voice dangerously quiet.

Shifting his position, Cepheid put his back to the wall and sat on the floor, taking measured breaths to keep himself awake as he explained to his brother, who seemed eerily calm.
Taking the rag, he bit down on it, still letting out a muffled cry of pain as the bullet was dug out. After what seemed to him like an eternity of searing pain, he felt it subside some once the bullet was prized free and removed. Breathing heavily, he pulled the cloth from his mouth and looked over to where his twin was, watching him leave for some reason.
Compared to the bullet being dug out, the washing and binding was almost welcoming, and by the time his ruined shirt had been removed and the wound dressed, it was feeling decidedly less painful. He still felt dizzy, and was rather hungry due to blood loss, but he felt well enough to, at the very least, lead Andromeda to where Nerys was.
Ignoring the blood that had stained his pants and the floor, he forced himself to his feet and walked up to his brother and Selena. "I'm going with you. At the very least, I can show you where she is." He said, trying to look less tired than he felt. "It's my fault this happened. I should have dragged her back the second I found her."
