"Ahh, been doing fine, my brothers been trying to teach me to use a sword he gave me for my birthday." Thorn had a face of awkwardness and at the same time appreciation. He didn't want to sound ungrateful but weapons where not his thing, he hated fighting for now.
He's let out a chuckle not to long after hearing he'd handle the fireworks. "I figured as much."

Juniper continued to shift uncomfortably, looking around at all the people around her, trying to get adjusted. And once Crash kissed her hand, she was just a ball of blushing, nervous nerves of awkward.
"A-Ah. I'm well." She answered, clasping her hands at her waist nervously is Crash let her have her hand back. She glanced to Thorn as he spoke. So Thorn was learning how to wield a blade?
And why did learning this boy handled the fireworks make her apprehensive?
"A pleasant surprise. I take it you're not in as much pain as normal? I was worried you'd be unable to join us here at the fair." Saul answered, and rolled his eyes lightly at Devi's comment on Jasmine's dress. "It's well made, if that's what you mean."
Devi, you know that women are all but invisible to this man. Yes, Jasmine was a woman, but he saw her as just a person, not a being of the opposite sex.
Speaking of Jasmine, she spoke up, and Saul's expression grew concerned. "The thing is, despite all of my attempts to ensure that the family fortune and name passes to him, he doesn't seem to care. The legacy our parents worked so hard to make and leave us, and he doesn't seem to want anything to do with it. I mention school, he gets this look like I'm doing something terrible to him." Saul let out a huff. "And he won't find a suitable woman, either. He needs an heir and as much as I want him to be with someone he'd be happy with, I'm scared the one he's interested in pursuing will get him killed." He sighed, looking distressed, looking to Devi. "You know far too well how narrow minded the people around us are. The woman's name is Sarina, an easterner. If there was less at stake, if I knew the people here would accept it, I'd be more than happy to encourage their relationship, but..." He thought to what Devi went through because of his own taste in lovers, and he didn't want that to happen to Thorn. He couldn't handle it.
"...Maybe I should be the one to carry the name. I mean, If I took the name, and the spotlight, maybe if Thorn does go and pursue her, my shadow will hide them from the public eye. Keep them safe..." Saul would sit down on a nearby crate. "Geh."

"Yes, lets try and keep it that way." He chuckled, he listened to the two talk an as Devi listened he made a face of worry and discomfiture, unsure how he'd be able to reply to all of this, being he was split about all this, on one end he understood on the other... "Do..You really want to know my honest opinion?" He asked looking at Saul as he entwined his own fingers and leaned on the table.
He'd roll his chair over and place his hand on his friends head and let out a sigh. "Calm your self Saul...You're bearing to much into the future that has not even been decided."

"Thank you." Jasmine smiled, but that smile didn't last long as the heavy discussion between the two started, plus the reply Saul had given made her feel repulsed on the inside as it seemed he cared more about reputation... She tried to push that out of her mind as she felt she maybe interpreting it wrong as she listened to Saul speak, Giving a sigh she sat down at the table not very interested in dancing or any of the other activity's. Plus she felt as if she might have spoiled the fun for Saul.

Anita was fairly silent as she stood in the crowd, as Sarina had had to leave and she was back to being not only the only Easterner in the crowd, but only somewhat friends with Thorn and Crash at the moment. Of course, Crash brought up the fireworks, and she glanced back at him.
"Come up with something awe-inspiring?" she asked the redhead with a smile. If his fireworks were nearly as enthusiastic as Crash could be, they would be a sight to see.

Crash was a bit disappointed with the leave, but either way, he still had friends to talk to and right now he was happy to do that. He wouldn't tease Thorn about it though, not in front of the other shy girl who seemed to be his type, obviously enough. He would put his hands in his pockets and then grin at Anita as she spoke up. There were sparkles in his eyes.
"Swordplay and awe-inspiring fireworks! That sounds like my type~!" He couldn't resist the urge. He literally squealed out loud like a little kid or girl. Seriously, this guy didn't have man points. He had 'kaboom' points.

As was Thorn, but he'd manage. He still had two friends here that would keep him plenty of company. Thorn would let out a chuckle at the three, mostly at Crash who was clearly not caring what people thought of him. "Ahh, my brother is also a fan of swordplay as well." he spoke softly, not wanting to bother the others, sanding idly mostly as he listen to the music around him, a little bored by the slower melody's.

It wasn't that Saul only care about reputation, its that everyone else did. As he just said, if he could ensure the safety of Thorn and his Eastern love, he'd be more than happy to encourage their relationship, but public outcry, the potential lynching. It scared Saul, he didn't want to even have Thorn risk such a thing.
He looked at Devi and Jasmine, looking concerned. "I don't know how to keep him safe and not look like some narrow minded ass." He sighed. "No matter how many times I try to explain it, everyone assumes all I care about is the family name and the fortune. That's not true, I care about Thorn, and I want him to HAVE those things, to be able to live his live comfortably, so he can do as he pleases with his time instead of having to work his fingers to the bone just to eat." Saul ran a hand through his hair, looking very unhappy compared to all the smiling faces that mingled around them.

"That is a hard line to walk, I must say.." Devi nodded, as he replied to his friend, maybe tredding carefully would be better then the outright opinion he had. Part of him wantd to say life wasn't fair, but that was to harsh in his mind. "Don't give up, you'll find something, one way or another." he nodded and hopped that it wouldn't further the stress of his friend.
"...Come on now, ease your mind of that for now, can talk about it later, why don't you and Jasmine have a dance together?" he chuckled. His eyes wondering over to the alcoholic beverages, knowing what he'd be doing in due time.

Jasmine gave her father something of a half-stare, half-glare kind of look when he brought up the idea. She new her old man was up to something. But part of her was glad he was trying to get Saul's mind off that stress, he was right this wasn't the time for that, this was more time for fun, but she wasn't to sure about dancing with Saul, never saw him dance before! For all she knew he could be the exact opposite to Thorn when it came to dancing. Meaning Thorn actually had some grace in him.
"Well, I think what father's trying to say is that you shouldn't be worrying about this now in a time meant for fun, and relaxation..I also should apologize for how I acted." She finely spoke.
