Stow away

June 25. People on board the Star Crash\Super Arrow only.

For almost two weeks now, things had begun to disappear. Small things. Little bits of food, some blankets and fabric. The occasional shiny doo-dad. Maybe even a doll if one was sitting unattended.

Though this accumulation of missing items was starting to become a little more noticeable, as the number was slowly rising.

Cepheid in particular had discovered that one of his smaller scopes had sprouted legs and walked off, and was now in the process of searching for the little blighter.

If he came across anyone, he'd greet them and then ask; "Have you seen one of my smaller scopes lying around?"

<sub>All three girls found some of their items were missing as well. Dani's doll went missing, which she was upset about. Godwine's bras blanket, some of her food. Selena's intricate hairties, even. Nerys was mostly lucky in her relinquishing of items, and that only one of her rolls of threads went missing, for some odd reason.

Dani and Nerys were sitting at the table in the kitchen, the larger female mulling over the missing bread, and wondering if someone's gotten a large appetite and she would Blame Nerys automatically if she's trying to hide some kind of pregnancy.

"You too, huh?" Nerys spoke up. "I haven't found anything lying around.</sub>

<sub>Andromeda wasn't in the presence of Cepheid at the moment, but he would once he found out his stuff was going missing. Andy's knick knacks had gone missing and he was mulling where they went as well. However some voices from the kitchen had caught his attention and he hung around the doorway.

"Something weird is going on. How much stuff went missing?" Andy was genre saavy enough to know that someone was sneaking items and food, and it certainly wasn't him.</sub>

Cepheid stopped and put his hands on his hips and sighed. "Yea, me too. It wasn't one of my better scopes, but it was light, it made getting wider views of the sky easier." He rubbed his chin, idly noting he needed to shave. "Especially wih my arm this way. I can't use my heavier scopes..."

He thought hard. "I really don't think anyone on this ship suddenly came down with the irresistible urge to start lifting things, so unless we have all suddenly become incapable of keeping our belongings, I think we might want to start looking into a possible...'gremlin'."

Making a 'follow me' gesture, he walked down the hall to the kitchen and met with everyone else. "This may sound odd, but whats the possibility of a stow away?" He asked.

<sub>Dani and Nerys would stand up as well, aspecting the possibility of a Stow away as well. Plus Nerys would do whatever she would to help Cepheid. Nerys would nod in agreement with Cepheid, that is until Daniela opened her mouth. Oh crap.

"And I hope none of the girls are pregnant either." She totally eyed Nerys at that point, who just stared at her with the most deadpan expression she could.

"You aren't...!" Yes, Nerys would protest. And turn red and do the typical maneuver of the shy girl routine. She'd move ahead though, just to explore the place to try and see if she would find this culprit.

"I'm glad I'm not and neither are you." Dani grinned.</sub>

<sub>Andromeda himself would nod in agreement with Cepheid. Items just didn't walk out on their own anyway, so he would have to agree with him on this. There probably was a stow away on board this ship she he would have to flush the person out and kick him off.

Tat is until Dani spoke up and he just stared at her with the most awkward expression on his face. After learning about the pregnancy that his ex had to endure, the last thing he wanted to deal with was one of his girls pregnant.

".... Let's just... go take a look. I'll check the engine room." He spoke up, quietly and awkwardly before swiftly walking away.</sub>

Ceph couldn't help but blush madly as Dani made that comment, and had to resist the urge to shout out how he and Nerys had never done something like that out of wedlock.

Ceph shifted slightly as Dani gave Nerys that look, and he shifted to put himself between the two women. Run Nerys!

"I really don't think any of the women here are with child." Unless Andy wanted some 'companionship' and one of the girls took him up on the offer.

Glancing back at Andy, he spoke up. "Where are there good places to hide? Somewhere we don't go, but spacious enough to hide a small treasure trove?"

<sub>Daniela would head up to the front of the ship, looking around Nothing so far. There really wasn't much for them to look for. The small spaces that someone would hide something wasn't around in the public traffic areas, and Nerys checked the rooms as well, and there was nothing. All the rooms, even the cleaning cupboard was occupied, and let's not get started with the kitchen.

"The best spot would be the engine room..." Nerys spoke up as she passed by them. Dani was busy elsewhere, after all, and after THAT awkward endeavor, she'd rather not deal with it.</sub>

<sub>Andromeda would ignore that comment for now, especially since he wasn't going to liven up the girls anytime soon, not without... stuff... happening. And... yeah. He would shut up for now. Until Cepheid asked where would be the best place to stash items.

"Nerys is right. The Engine room is the best place." Andromeda spoke up, nodding to his twin and then heading towards there, grabbing the handle and opening the door to the large room...</sub>

Following Nerys and Andromeda, Cepheid went into the engine room and looked around. He had grabbed a small lamp on his way down and lit it, illuminating the darker corners of the room.

Splitting up from the other two, Cepheid went to snoop in one of the more shadowy area, looking around.

Behind him, where Andy and Nerys might see, would be a small amount of movement. It might have been a mouse, or it might be something else, something larger. Turning to look, Ceph gave a quizzical look in the direction of the movement. He didn't see it, but he heard it.

<sub>Nerys would be the best bet in that dark of a place, the young woman looking around as she peered into the dancing shadows for any movement. As soon as her eyes adjusted to the low light, she would look around. The movement definitely caught her attention, and she wouldn't think it's a mouse.

Damnit, they kept this place very clean! Nerys would try and get closer, trying to see where the movement came from and went to.

"There's definitely something in here." She spoke up.</sub>

<sub>Andy would take another lantern as well, holding it out along with his brother as they traversed the rather dangerous terrain known as the engine room. There were lots of storage boxes in the place and it didn't help there were loads of pipes and cogs laying around that would make it even more dangerous.

"... Alright, keep a sharp eye, Nerys." He trusted that woman enough with her senses, he'd trust it this time in the case of a possible stowaway.</sub>

Cepheid stood beside his twin, carefully sidestepping the debris as they looked around. Once he detected the movement, Cepheid walked in the direction of it at a slight angle, sort of doing a pincer movement on it with Nerys, who was approaching from the other side.

As the two of them got closer, there would be a panicked flurry of movement and a slight blur in the darkness would shoot by the three of them, only for it's speedy departure to be arrested by a series of thuds as it tripped over the clutter on the floor.

Turning suddenly, Cepheid almost took a spill himself as he slipped on a gear, but he managed to avoid hitting the floor and he looked at the figure that was huddled on the floor, shivering in fright and pain from its fall.

It was a rather dirty looking blond little girl, no more than maybe six years. Given the state of her clothes and the fact she was covered in grease, it was obviously her who had been living in the engine room.

<sub>Nerys would try and cut off the thing as well, wondering what this person was. It seemed small, young... maybe even a child. Especially when it took a fall and in the light she could tell she was very dirty. And kind of cute. She'd make some sort of cute noise as she saw the girl and crouch near her.

"How did you get in this place? You look so dirty! This is not a proper place for a young lady." She's smile at the girl. Ohh she had to tell Dani about this. Dani loved kids as well.

"We won't hurt you, and if those nasty boys try anything I'll hurt them myself." She'd offer a hand to the young girl. Ooh sick burn on the twins.</sub>

<sub>Andromeda winced when he heard crashing, and he raised the lamp to see what it was, helping his brother up from that almost fall he had. He'd look over to see that it was a little girl. Oh god, children. Not the children. And Nerys already was doting on her! Oh god...

... Did she call him nasty? He gave an annoyed glance at his crewmate, before getting his brother up on his feet. Andy didn't say a single word. He wanted that child out. NOW.</sub>
