March 12th, 1622. Afternoon.
Now this was a great place to try and find cheap items to work on her boots! ... Oh yeah and the freelance project she had now. It was slow, though, and Sarina thought she wouldn't be able to make it through another month's rent thanks to... well, anything that could be considered problematic in her life.
Either way, Sarina's bg brown eyes scaled around the clearing as she looked for some cogs and flat pieces of plastic or metal that could give her an edge for her boots. They weren't cracked or anything, but the cogs did need some replacement. "Hm!" Sarina precariously balanced on a piece of machine as she looked around, before skittering down the steep and rocky slopes, holding her knee length dress down so it didn't fly up or anything.
Then again, her dress was the last thing she should worry about.

"Ow" Thorn hissed, he had pricked his finger again on some sharp metal his was digging though looking for parts, slightly wishing he had brought his gloves with the fingers on them instead of his fingerless gloves.
He was trying to fine working parts for something someone commissioned from him. while he was a inventor his did enjoy sometimes taking commissions when he got bored or was on a block. He knew his brother was not going to be happy he hurt him self again, in the dump for that matter was worse.
"How to explain that.." he grumbled to him self still digging around after wrapping the finger in a bandage to keep it from getting infected for the moment till he could get it cleaned back at home.

Sarina, far from being the clumsy individual, hopped down from the metal piece, before finally finding some nice piece of cogs for her to work with. She dropped them in the pouch she wore on her belt and then looked up when she heard a sound. Someone got hurt? Uh oh. Sarina blinked and then looked around a pile of scrap, to see another figure there.
He was white, unfortunately, and Sarina had no idea how he'd react to her, since she wasn't the best clothed (just a two piece top with a knee length skirt!) and she was from the Eastern islands and thus... hardly white. She looked at him curiously, wondering If she should.
A) Get his attention and ask if he needs help or... B) Walk off and pretend nothing happened.
Sarina was far from being the second choice, so she swallowed, but on a brave face and then walked over to him, her long fall boots clanking against some metal. Not only that, she got a much closer look at him. He seemed younger than her, maybe not too much, and he definitely was far from graceful... like a cow on skates. Especially since he he seemed to have cut himself on fingerless gloves. Ooh! FIngerless gloves, like her!
"H-hello! Do you need help?" She waved to him, trying to act friendly.

"Huh! Oh, hello there madam. Ahh..I am fine, just ended up pricking my self yet again" He happily sand slightly "Hmm..Having any luck with finding cogs might I ask? I think I'm looking in all the wrong places" he chuckled.
He never had met a darker tone person before, but did not mind it. Now, the fact she was a girl on the other hand, it slightly nervous, he was not the best around them.

Well, he seemed friendly enough! Sarina warmed up quite a bit then, now that first impressions came out. He seemed nervous though, but she pushed that aside. Better nervous than hateful, after all. She perked up when he said he was having trouble finding cogs and pricking himself. She then smiled and then looked in her satchel.
"I happen to come across some myself, but they're scattered and not common now. It's odd, usually I'm lucky in finding them." She added, showing him the cogs. "... Do you want them?"
Ah, Sarina. Always the type to offer first. The cogs weren't too big though, they were small to put to use on her boots, but right now she wasn't in desperate need of them. Plus, the guy looked like he needed them anyway.
"Oh I never introduced myself! I'm known as Sarina Fleetfoot. What's yours?"

He was worried but at lest glad she was friendly. "Hmm..that is indeed difficult...I think it's more fair game you keep them since you found them, but maybe we could look together." he smiled at her. He was nervous of her yes, but was trying to hid it.
Besides he'd feel bad if he took them from a fellow builder, it be best they looked together more, means they could find more to share. "Ah! pardon my rudeness I'm Thorn" He replied, giving a bow.

Sarina was glad he was friendly as well. Especially since she usually attracts less than friendly people. She put back the cogs in her sack and then looked back up at Thorn, pulling her dark hair back.
"Ah, okay. That sounds like a plan. Four eyes are better than two!" That was much better than doing everything alone, something that Sarina was quite used to. Thorn then bowed to her as she mentioned her name and she smiled.
"Thorn, huh? Pleased to meet you." She curtsied in politeness and then looked around. Hm, where to start and what to talk about...

He smiled watching her and nodded. He was thinking to him self about how he was glad he was at lest wearing gloves, his hands would have been all sweaty at the moment. He nodded in agreement with her. "Indeed~ be better then rummaging around lost yes?" he smiled glancing around to see if he can find any near gears on the suffice.
"Pleasure to meet you as well Lady Sarina" he smiled back at her, then looked back kneeling down starting to dig around.

A middle age man arrived at the Scrapyard in the early hours of the morning, a large cart full of old "broken" items that could not be sold in his antique shop. Nodding to the owner, he ended and found a good pile of junk to dump more of his things on. One of the first that fell out of the box was a small Clockwork girl, more things falling on top of her, as if to bury the machine. Not even an hour after the man left, the Clockwork girl "awoke" and started to panic upon seeing she was no longer where she had fallen "sleep". "It happened again," D0ll said to herself, her eyes darting around to try and figure out where she was. By again, she meant that this wasn't the first time she had changed over into her stand-by mode and woken up somewhere else. The first time was when her 'father' passed away and she woke up in the home of one of his children, very confused. The second time it was when she was sold to the antique shop. Had she done something wrong for the owner of the shop? She did not know, but she wanted to get this sleep mode function turned off the next change she got.
D0ll started to try and get up once her panic of being alone ended, but found that her lower body was covered with too much junk for her to lift herself out of. She wiggled and shifted, but it was no use. She was trapped.
---
The Clockwork child had lay in the Scrapeyard for what felt like days, years even when in reality it was only a few hours. To a child, that was like an eternity. She heard things shifting and falling, slightly fearful that something large and heavy would fall on her and crush her head. 'You're going to die here, Anabell, you're too old. No one wants a machine like you anymore when they can have a sleek new one,' she thought. Hopefully something would crush her before she rusted after a good rain.
Hope was already down the drain when she heard it. No, them. Voices. There was someone around! A new spark came to her eyes and D0ll pushed herself up as much as she could, looking around. "Hello? Is there someone here? Can you please, oh please, help me?" She cried out, hoping that her voice would carry and not cause an avalanche of junk.
((I hope it's alright to post now. ^w^))

OoC: Sorry it took ages to reply. Exams and then some after college stuff. Plus I was exhausted, but I'll be back on schedule now!
Ic: Sarina herself felt flattered when Thorn said 'Lady Sarina.' She had never been called that before! She blushed lightly, which may not be that noticeable over her dark skin, but at the same time, she did clearly stammer when she spoke up.
"I-It's a pleasure to meet you too!" Man, she had never felt so happy before! She then curtsied before nodding to him and then speaking up. "Let's get started, then~!"
She would have continued, that is, before he heard a voice. She looked around before glancing at Thorn with a bit of confusion. Someone needed help! Looks like their little mission would be sidetracked for now.
"Hello, miss? Where are you?" She called out. Might as well try and locate her for now.

He gave a smile and a node "Lets" He replied and went a head some of her looking around, not only because he was nervous but thought he spotted a cog.
He perked hearing the voice and went forward a bit trying to follow her voice. "Ah yes where are you? maybe we can help- Ack!!" The klutz had tripped on some sort of bar not paying attention to where he was walking and tumbled down a hill of scrap, yep no way he could hid this from brother now, he had ended up on his back with a few new cuts and scrapes; He glanced around wondering where he was.
Ooc: Ah don't worry to much c:

D0ll's hope was growing even more when she got answers! They wanted to know where she was. Well, where was she anyway? A quick glance around didn't help very much. Everything looked almost the same. Like junk. So her answer came out in the only way she could think of. "Over here!" She called to answer the first voice. D0ll didn't realize that the amount of stuff would cause her voice to echo, making 'here' probably very hard to locate.
Even half a minute of waiting made the small Clockwork wonder if the owners of the voices had forgotten about her already. That is, until a few broken gears and springs started to shift near by. On a hill just just where she was trapped, D0ll saw human movement! "Over here!" she repeated again, now cupping her hands around her mouth.
((It's no problem. ^w^))

Finally, the voice was calling so she could used her ears as best as she could to try and locate where the girl was. Of course just as she was about to, she let out a squeak of surprise as Thorn tumbled down the hill and she skittered down after him.
"Oh dear!" She then went to help him up, trying to get him back on his feet. Of course, she caught those cuts and scrapes on him. "Careful there, you got hurt!" Now she was worried. They had a lost girl and now Thorn got cut up. Of course, she heard the voice again. Aha, she was on this hill! Sarina adjusted her feet so she could have a better grip on the very slippery hill, as some gears and scraps of metal skittered down to the base of the hill.
"Ah! We'll try and get you out, hold on!"

He was a nervuse when he came down to her, and gave a weak chuckle. "A-Ahah! don't worry about these, this is normal for me...I'm a bit..clumsy." he weakly admitted. He perked hearing the little voice again, he pushed him self up and started digging around and looking in the pile for the location of the voice.
"Can you speak up again I believe I'm close" he spoke digging around in the scrap.

They really were looking for her! They didn't let her! D0ll saw a few scraps of metal slide down to the base of the hill she was trapped near. Turning her head back, the corner of her lips titled up in a smile. "Ahh! Down here!" The child called, waving one arm in the air when she saw movement. ((Blah post. I'm sorry >_<; )
